1. Who we are

ContinentalSMP is the legal business name under which Parker Hornstra (a sole trader) operates this website and the ContinentalSMP Minecraft server. ContinentalSMP is the data controller for the personal data collected through them — that means ContinentalSMP decides how and why your data is processed.

  • Business name: ContinentalSMP (sole trader), operated by Parker Hornstra.
  • Contact for privacy matters: parkerhornstr@gmail.com.

2. Data we collect

We collect the following categories of personal data:

  • Account data: email address and login credentials when you create a staff account.
  • Store data: the Minecraft username you provide at checkout, and your purchase history.
  • Support and community data: messages you send us directly or in our Discord community.
  • Usage and device data: IP address, device identifiers, and basic telemetry about how the site is used.

Payment card details are collected and processed directly by Paddle, our Merchant of Record — we never see or store your card numbers.

3. Why we use it and our legal basis

  • Providing the service and delivering purchases — performance of our contract with you.
  • Security, fraud prevention, and enforcing our server rules — our legitimate interests.
  • Improving the website and server — our legitimate interests.
  • Customer support — performance of our contract and our legitimate interests.
  • Meeting legal obligations (for example tax and accounting records) — legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

  • Service providers and subprocessors that host and operate our website, database, and infrastructure.
  • Paddle, our Merchant of Record, for the sale of products, payments, tax compliance, and invoicing. Paddle processes your purchase data under its own privacy terms.
  • Professional advisers (legal, accounting) where needed.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as needed for the purposes above — for example, purchase records are kept as required for tax and accounting. Data is deleted or anonymised when it is no longer needed.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent where processing is based on consent. You may also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at parkerhornstr@gmail.com; we respond within one month.

7. Security

We apply appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and access controls limiting who can view personal data.

8. Cookies

This site uses essential cookies and storage only — for example, to keep you signed in. We do not use analytics or marketing cookies. You can clear these at any time through your browser settings, though signing in will no longer persist.
